Scandinavian Christmas

Can't believe I've made it to day 15 of the 31 Day Blog Writing Challenge.  It has been fun but also a "challenge" because for the first time in ages I have not done any Christmas quilting.  But, I have done a lot of stitching.  So, I've been posting things I have made in the past and it's been fun to think back on each piece and how it came to be.  So, today I'm continuing with that theme.

A few years ago I was fortunate to win Lynette Anderson's Scandinavian Christmas pattern.  I was so excited to make this and collected the necessary fabrics, but due to some circumstances, I wasn't able to make it right away.

Finally, the time arrived when I could create my own Scandinavian Christmas.  A dear friend and I worked together making us each a simplified wall hanging.

It has become one of my favorites.
