Santa Quilt

I spent almost a year in 2007, stitching this "Santa" quilt working on and completing one block a month.  The Santa's were fun to stitch as each one was different.  I had a friend who was also making one for her and we kept each other motivated to get the blocks stitched and assembled by Christmas.  The quilt was completed in November--just in time to hang for Christmas.  Wish I had kept track of the hours spent stitching.

This quilt has been a favorite of my grandchildren with all the different Santa's.  I think their favorite is Santa holding his list and seeing their names stitched on the "nice" side.

Hopefully, this will become a heirloom to be treasured when I am not longer here.

  1. This is a gorgeous quilt...such a lot of work! What a fun idea to put the children's names on the list! Well done with keeping up the challenge :-)
