Two Years Later

Finally, it is done and ready to enjoy this Christmas.
I started this free BOM: "A Christmas Wish" from
Gail in January of 2009 fully intending to have
it completed for Christmas.

All the stitchery and piecing of blocks were finished
on schedule and I had even started quilting it, but for
some reason (which I have now forgotten) it didn't get
finished and has sat in my sewing room staring me in
the face waiting to be done.

Now it is DONE!  It was a great way to use up my
old Christmas fabrics from my business.  However,
it really didn't make a dent!

The only thing left to do now is make a label for the
back.

  2. At least you started it (and finally finished it). I got so far as to print off all the patterns and arrange them nicely in a binder for a rainy day. Now that Christmas is quickly approaching, don't I wish I'd been stitching away on them?? Maybe next year! I have, however, kept up with the Christmas Banner BOM and am anxiously awaiting block #6! ~karen

  3. Hi Nola!

What a beautiful quilt! I am always amazed at how talented you are, and how beautiful your work is! So, tell me, what do you do with all of the beautiful projects you make? Do you use the quilts on your beds at Christmastime, or do you display them on a quilt rack? I guess I've never made anything so pretty - or at least nothing I would want to display... ;0)

    Hugs,

  4. The picture of the quilt is awesome. I know how good it feels when you finally get something done that you have been putting off for a while. I did the same thing the other day with getting some pictures ran off that I had promise to do for a niece a long time ago.
Thanks for sharing the picture; I keep thinking I need to get into quilting.

  5. The Christmas quilt is lovely. I have the blocks embroidered, but haven't made it any further. It's on my list "to do". Maybe for next Christmas. lol
