Brrrr....It's Cold

I can't believe how chilly it has become.  We've had light rain off and
on since yesterday and temperatures are in the low 50's.  Quite a
drastic change from what we have been having.  I'm sure that when
the clouds lift, we'll see snow on the tops of the mountains.  I am so
not ready for cold, snowy weather.  But, then it always seems like
the weather changes around Halloween.  Time to get out the hot
chocolate!

Today's post will be short as we are involved in some family
activities.

The questions for today: What is your favorite Christmas Song?

I have several and it seems to change from year to year.
But, my all-time favorite is "I Heard The Bells on Christmas
Day".  Also, love El Divo's version of "O Holy Night" and
then there are the childhood favorites, "Rudolph, the Red-
Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town.'

Oh dear, I could go on and on.  Needless to say I love
Christmas music.  Perhaps because we only get to hear
it for such a short time.

Have a wonderful, peaceful Sunday.
Nola

  2. Hi Nola,

It is cold here too! I think we may even get snow before the day is over. I'm not sure I'm ready for that quite yet.

I love music, especially Christmas music! I won't take up too much space, but I will tell you that my favorite Christmas song is, Oh Holy Night, White Christmas is a close second, Silent Night is right up there, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Til' the Season Comes Round Again . . . they are all my favorite!

Me and another dear friend, who passed away a few years ago, used to sing together. We would sing at parties, church functions, family parties, senior citizen centers, all kinds of functions . . . we had a ball. We really loved Christmas, because people were so happy and they would usually sing along.

I think I will start listening to Christmas music tomorrow!!

    Warm Hugs,
    Barb

  5. Nola, I love Christmas music. I can hardly wait each year till they start playing it on the radio. My all time favorite song is 'Silent Night'. Our church has a Christmas Eve service. The last thing we do before leaving is turn the lights down, pass candles out, get in a circle around the church pews and sing 'Silent Night' while lighting each other's candles. Oh, I get chills just thinking about it. Absolutely my favorite part of the Christmas program. You sure have had some good questions this week. Made me think of lots of happy memories. Thank you!
