...her with her cardiologist and me with my oncologist and I'm
happy to report we are both doing well tonight.
My sister met with her doctor for an angiogram as she has still
been having chest pain. Four more stents were implanted (she
now has 7) and we are hopeful that this will ease the pain and
allow the heart to work as it should.
I'm good to go for another four months. A small lump I was
concerned about turned out to be a small cyst. Everything
else came out great. And the exciting news I got is that if
everything is still good at my next visit in May, we will extend
my visits to every six months. Yeah!
We have much to be grateful for this day.
While cleaning out a couple of drawers this weekend I found
this cartoon of "Hagar, The Horrible" in a file folder and thought
I'd share it. (click on picture to enlarge)
Guess if I'm not going to waste this year, I best get planning
as the days are quickly slipping by. But, I'm afraid my
good intentions may go by the wayside like Hagar's.
Have a happy day!
Nola
Glad to hear the check up went well... I know just how Hagar feels.....

Love the Hagar cartoon! Glad things are going well for you! And I hope the extra stents help your sister too! :o)
ReplyDeleteWonderful news Nola...you both certainly have alot to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteLoved the cartoon! I am very happy that you are doing well. It is always good to see your physician and get a good report. I worked as a hospice nurse for 7 years and you are very blessed to have survived Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I don't have a sister so I think it is priceless to go together for your different appointments. I do have a very close friend that I consider my sister in every way and feel blessed to have her in my life.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your posts. Blessings to you! LeAnn
I love the cartoon and so often it is sooo true--or we spend more time planning what to do --than actually doing something!!!
ReplyDeleteso happy for both you and your sister's checkup--be good now and go stitch on something fun!!!
Hugs,di

Am pleased with your dr. visit. It will be a day of celebration when you are bumped up to the next level of check-ups. I remember what it was like to go from one phase to the next. I feel very uplifted by your news. ~karen
