Seventy years ago on a Saturday evening, I made my
appearance into this beautiful world.

Seven years ago I wasn't sure I would be here to
see "70". I am so grateful to still be here to
celebrate life!
This has been a memorable birthday made
extra special by my children. It was fun to
drive up to my home and see a big "Happy
Birthday" sign and balloons. My daughter had
called last evening saying the boys had a
surprise for me and would probably be there
when I came home from work. I figured they
had made cards and little gifts. I was excited
to come home from work and see them.
Unbeknown to me, my daughter planned a
surprise "brunch" for me today. (The call was
just to make sure I was coming straight home
from work).
And I was surprised and overwhelmed when I
walked in the door from work and everyone yelled
"Surprise"! I absolutely had no clue anything
special was going to take place. She served a
yummy brunch and it was so fun to be with
dear friends.
If I had known turning "70" was going to be so much
fun, I'd have done it sooner. lol
Well, maybe not sooner!

I'm so glad your daughter stepped up to the plate and made it such a special birthday for you. But then, you lead by example, and what a good example you have been!! You are just as cute now as you were then. Happy Birthday week, my friend!!
