old and I am so ready to be done. But, it is going to take
awhile.
While there found a box of 10-inch wood embroidery hoops
that were left over from my business. Now the decision:
Do I keep them or get rid of them or even try to sell them?
They used to be so popular but now???? I have called
around and no one seems to want them or have a need for
them.
Should have used them up or got rid of them years ago.
Why do we hang on to things for so long?

Oh, I hate throwing things away because when I do I discover a use for them.... I have seen embroidery hoops used effectively as a 'frame' for stitcheries.... and have got a couple of smaller 6" ones to use for that purpose... Just a thought...

We do tend to hang on to things becausse we may just need the item some day. I do a lot of embrodery but have never used a 10" one.
ReplyDeleteI have a whole basement full of "stuff" like that I need to sort through and get rid of. I'll get to it one of these days! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Nola!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to catch up on my blogging - I hate getting behind!
I can't believe how much you accomplish! You are such a hard worker - and I know how hard it is sometimes to get rid of perfectly good things! Isn't it funny how those big wooden embroidery hoops used to be so popular, and now nobody wants them? Years ago my cousin painted two beautiful geese on fabric and put them in the wooden hoops - I loved them! But, that "look" soon ended . . . I have a hard time conforming! I think I hang on to things like that, because I really did plan on using it, or at least had plans for them. It's also hard to get rid of things that you paid good money for! I always think that if I hang on to something long enough, it will come back into style - what comes around, goes around! Good luck with your cleaning!
