Brrrrrrr!

It is so very cold.  Temperature this morning when I got up a
little after 6:00 was 2 degrees F.  With the wind chill it felt
like -15 degrees F.

We have not had this cold of temperatures for several years.
We also got hit with about 14-16 inches of snow Thursday
evening into Friday and more is expected today.  Makes one
want to stay indoors and hibernate.  Seems like our furnace
is running constantly and with no-burn days we can't use
our wood burning stove.  Temperatures are supposed to
hover in the single digit to possibly a high of 17 later in the
week.

Took this picture from my window this morning:

Haven't had icicles like this for years.  Reminds me of
when I was a little girl.

Wonder if we will get a January thaw!  I'm so ready for
warm temperatures once again.

Hope you are warm wherever you are.

  1. Wow, Nola, it looks stunning. Picture postcard beauty. We've been hit with the same storm system. We've had temps in the mid to high 20's overnight and early morning. Very, very unusual for us. I'm enjoying the change but most really don't like it. LOL

    Stay warm and safe.

  5. Hi Nola!

Wow, that is so cold - especially for Utah! Although the icicles are pretty, they just aren't necessary... ;0)

Hope you get a warm-up, you guys usually have flowers popping up by February!

    Hugs,
    Barb
