that's just what I did today.
My daughter and grandson's stopped by to do some
"stampin" while I baked pumpkin cookies and made
potato soup that we could share for dinner this evening.
Great comfort food for a rainy day!
Using 5 inch charm squares was able to cut and sew
the blocks for one more fall project this afternoon.
Am hoping I can sew them together after work
tomorrow.
Traced this stitchery last fall, but never got it
stitched. My goal is to have it finished and framed
by the end of the week so we can enjoy it before
Halloween has come and gone again.
The weatherman is forecasting more rain and cooler
temperatures (about 30 degree drop) for the rest of the
week, so maybe I will meet my goals.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hi Nola!
ReplyDeleteYum - potato soup and pumpkin cookies, you sure know how to make a girl feel all fuzzy and warm! The farmers in my area have been digging potatoes for the last two weeks. I will sure be glad when they are done, it's sooooo noisy! My daughter and her husband went and gleaned a field on Saturday and brought me some really nice potatoes on Sunday after conference . . . they will be in a pot tomorrow as potato soup!!
I love all the Fall colors, and your quilt blocks remind me so much of changing leafs. Stay ambitious! Can't wait to see the completed project!
Hugs,
Barb
HMMMM - what's rain? :-) I crave rainy days - sigh!
ReplyDeleteLove your new stitchery project and fall blocks!
When it rains, I sew, of course. I'm not a very good cook - it's not my favorite thing to do. I like those blocks you made with your charm squares. What will it be? I am glad to know I am not the only one who leaves projects half or almost finished for another time!! I suppose if I finished everything up front, I wouldn't be able to be proud of myself for completing my UFO's....because there wouldn't be any!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your little blocks! I have a thing for fall fabrics! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are right, great for baking and sewing...
ReplyDeleteI don't know what happened to my comment?
ReplyDeleteSounds like the same day I had, baking bread for the first time in a breadmaker and quilting my son's quilt. I'm digging your blocks and the menu is calling to me. Yum
ReplyDeleteLet's hear it for rainy days!
Carolyn
