Sharing and...

It's day 3 of the Christmas Fabric Give Away.

Lately I've been thinking about:

Sharing

And the integral part it plays in our lives.

We share our dreams, sorrows, hopes and joys and good
news (my sister and her husband will be spending the next
18 months in the Texas-Fort Worth area) as well as sad
news.

We share friendships, gifts, talents, abilities and humble
attempts at learning or working on a new project.

(I'm up to row 8)

We share food on our table, clothing we no longer wear,
quilts we've pieced and sewn, donations of money when
possible to help and lift others.

We share our thoughts and feelings, knowledge and wisdom
gained along the way...even secrets.  We share
hugs, smiles, laughter and even a wink or two.

There are so many ways we share each day and are blessed
by others sharing.  I am touched and blessed by each of you
as you "share" on your blogs.

The list could go on and on.

Today instead of answering a question to participate in the
Give Away you will have a chance to win twice.
You may leave a brief comment about "sharing"

and/or blog about the Give Away (which would be
appreciated).  I really want to "Share" this fabric
with as many as possible!

Thanks for sharing...
Nola

  2. Your crocheting is just lovely! I love crocheting doilies! I think sharing is something that we are compelled to do, it's just in us to want to share what we love, what we do, what we know with others. Isn't that the whole point of blogging? It is for me anyway. I love to share what has been shared with me. Sharing those lovely Christmas fabrics is a nice thing to do too!

  3. Sharing in blogland is wonderful! People share of their time and talent and sometimes even their stash! And it's often the littlest things that make the biggest differences! Thanks for sharing your Christmas fabrics! :0)

  4. Sharing is such a big responsibility. We sometimes do not realize how much we share in the lives of others. My hope is to share with a younger woman (whether it be a daughter, friend or stranger) and pass the baton to the next generation. It could be my craft, my faith, or my heart. Thanks for sharing today.

  7. Hi Nola,

The thing I like to share most is, me. I don't have many close friends, I guess that's why I like to blog so much. I love being able to be there for others, listen to them, help them, lend a hand, cook a meal, babysit, or just let them cry on my shoulder or have a good laugh. Before we moved to our current location, I had so many close friends, I miss that. But the good news, I have you and all my other great friends in blog land!!

some good news to share - my daughter and her husband are having their third child, and we found out today that it is a BOY! We could not be more thrilled!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  8. I love to share my projects with others. I once had an internet friend ask me how many quilts I had on display in our home. Hmm, at that time, none, except the quilt on our bed. I had given everything away that I had made. I seldom buy gifts. To me a handmade gift equals love and sharing from my heart. I do have a few things that I have kept now, but I still love to making others happy by sharing my projects with them. Winona

  9. Do we ever live a day without sharing something? I don't think so. Recently I have discovered blogland and it has to be the place that always makes me smile because people are so giving of their ideas and creations. It truely is a place of inspiration and generosity.

  10. I just came home from a weekend retreat and am catching up on my blog reading. Sharing, our group of ladies always share, many many times this weekend I heard someone call out does anyone have.... and numerous voices said I do or let me check and usually the needed piece was found. I also saw during show and tell, the generous hearts of others as many were making project linus quilts, or premie quilts, breast cance pillows, pillow cases to give to the children at Shriners burn hospital. Ahhhh quilters are such generouse gracious sharers!
