Today, February 4, is World Cancer Day. It is a day to
wear purple as a color of cancer survival. It is a day
when the entire world can unite together in the fight
against cancer. You can read about it and the myths
and misconceptions here: World Cancer Day
2014 marks the beginning of 8 years of being in
remission. In 2006, I was diagnosed with Inflammatory
Breast Cancer and am and will always be grateful for
good doctors, advanced methods of treatments and
continuing research that will and have helped me and
others to have"another day" with our loved ones.

Hi Nola!
ReplyDeletePurple it is!! My father died of cancer, and I know so many who succumbed to this horrible disease. We are so blessed to have you with us. . . cancer free!!
Hugs,
Barb
I didn't even realize that Feb. 4th is World Cancer Day. I am so happy you have been cancer free for 8 years. I feel blessed to have met you this past year. Last year they found a cyst in my breast that they are monitoring.
ReplyDeleteMy brother also has had cancer and we still are not sure he is cancer free. I wish I had realized that it was a day to wear purple and I would have.
Blessings and hugs dear friend~
I did not know that purple was the color for cancer survival. Nor did I know that there even WAS a World Cancer Day! I missed it this year, but I won't next year! I'm a 30+ year survivor, which goes to show you there is always hope!!
