Off The Beaten Path

Finished up my small scrap quilt from the book, "Simply
Charming" a few days ago, but just never got around to
snapping a picture and here it is the end of April.

I have been doing the small every other month quilt
challenge with Darlene and Kathy.  Love these little
quilts!

For my April project I chose "Off the Beaten Path"
and as mentioned in an earlier post decided to use
my charm pack, "Pheasant Hill".  Loved how it turned
out and that it can be hung vertically or horizontally
and looks great either way.  I hand quilted it in the
"ditch" following the light colored pieces and
around the red inner border.

For awhile now I have been contemplating opening
up my old blog and writing a diary, so-to-speak of
my weight loss journey.  I have had so many people
ask me what I've done and if I would help them.
It has been a difficult decision because I feel
embarrassed, guilty, ashamed, frustrated, and sad
that I let myself go.  But, I've thought long and hard
about this, prayed about it, and have felt that it is
something I need to share.  I do it now in hopes
that if someone out there is struggling, it may
help or inspire them.  This has been a personal
journey and one I'm happy with now, but sad
that I had to take.   I've been very hesitant to
post my blog address, but I just keep thinking I
need to do this.

So each day, well most days, I am writing about
my journey.  If you want to follow along, you can
go here:  http://funthingsbynola.blogspot.com/
I have also posted the link at the top of my blog.

Nothing I did is any different than what many
others have done.  It's just my story and I welcome
any one to follow and share comments, thoughts
and feelings about the blog and your journey
to a better you.
