So, when the temperature soared to a balmy 56F and the sun
was sending out an invitation to come outside and play, I knew
I had to get out and enjoy this beautiful day by puttering in my
yard. Have to take advantage of the good days as we are
supposed to get a little snow Wednesday evening into Thursday.
There is nothing like the kiss of the sun on your face. It lifted
my spirits and put a song in my heart especially while working
on a flower bed and I discovered this bright yellow crocus
reaching out to the sun also.
Had to run grab my camera and take a picture of the first
flower of the season. This sweet little flower has certainly
lifted my spirits and put a smile on my face. Just seeing
life coming back gives me energy and the desire to get
busy on projects downstairs before the weather keeps
me outside and away from indoor projects.
Just wish these bright and cheery spring flowers lasted
longer! But, at least, I have something to look forward to.

Come on Spring!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how a sunny flower can bring sunshine in your heart.
Hope your cold is getting better.

First signs of spring....glad you enjoyed the day!
ReplyDeleteYour crocus is beautiful! I have a purple one but I think it's still buried under several inches of snow and ice! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Nola!
ReplyDeleteI may just have to make a copy of that beautiful flower and put it on my fridge so I can be reminded that Spring is right around the corner!! I can't believe that you already have flowers blooming - yes I can - I forget we live in the Siberian part of Idaho!! Yesterday, when we were in Pocatello for the funeral, I could not believe how bare everything was - we still have lots of snow! Although, today it reached the 50's, but I know it is just a cruel joke... :0(
Soak in some sunshine for me and please, GET WELL SOON!
Gentle Hugs,
Barb
Here, the harbingers of spring seem to be the mockingbirds. Present all winter, they have just now begun to sit atop the trees and belt out their repetoire! They make me smile. And they trick me, too, because I hear one of their mimics and think, "What new bird is that?"! Hope you can maintain the 'song in your heart' through just a little more inclement and cold weather!! ~karen
ReplyDeleteNola, you put a smile on my face by posting a picture of your first flower of the season. I am so ready for spring. Lots of snow left this week, but we still have a ways to go. Hope you get over your cold soon.
