And nothing really accomplished.
Had such good intentions today when I got home from
work. Nothing was needing my attention until later
this afternoon, so thought I'd continue working on my
Twinkle, Twinkle quilt. Had got this far yesterday:
All I had left was the outside border. Now you wouldn't think
it would be that difficult. But......
...I couldn't decide what to do for the 3 1/2 inch outside
square. And, then couldn't decide if I liked the border
print or not.
Had wanted to use just the floral part and because I didn't
purchase enough will now have to use the floral and little
squiggly thing cutting the fabric the width of the fabric.
Went up town to see if I could purchase more of the floral,
but it is all gone! So now I'm not sure what to do. Could
possibly use the navy/tan horizontal stripe???? (doesn't show
up very well in the picture.) However, it doesn't really speak to
me. Think it would almost be better as a corner block.
Guess I'll just let it sit out for awhile and maybe some
inspiration will come!
Since I couldn't finish that decided to pull out my blocks for
my fall scrappy leaf quilt I started last year. I was so sure
that in a year's time I could get it done. Is it done and to the
quilter's? NO!
But, I did get the scrappy stripes sewed around these.
All the leaf blocks were finished last fall so maybe if I
really get busy I can get it done. Just have to persuade
myself to do two or three blocks each day. Now that
shouldn't be all that difficult, right?
Happy Thursday!
P.S. Thank you all for your response to the give away!
It makes me so happy that there is interest out there for
these fabrics. Just wish I could afford to give everyone
a charm pack. There's still plenty of time to enter if
you haven't done so yet.

Hi Nola!
ReplyDeleteI love the twinkle, twinkle blocks - so pretty! Any of those fabrics would look great in my wanna-be-quilting opinion, but you have a great eye for those things.
I love the fall leaf blocks, but, I love Autumn - my season, ahhhhh.
Have a great week-end!
Hugs,
Barb
I hope you know that you are not the only one who has these "kind" of days!!!!

Have fun--hugs, Di
Hi Nola! Falling short of fabric happens all the time! What if you put a star block in each corner? Red ones. I'm loving those fall leaf blocks. ~karen
